Laser and IPL can be used to improve different aspects of the skin, from collagen production and texture to pigmentation, redness and uneven skin tone.
Your skin, concerns and goals determine which approach is most appropriate, and sometimes combining technologies gives us the most comprehensive result.
Collagen stimulation • Skin rejuvenation • Redness
Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser treatment that uses controlled heat to gently stimulate the deeper layers of the skin.
By creating a carefully controlled thermal response, Laser Genesis encourages collagen remodelling and can improve the appearance of fine lines, texture, redness and overall skin quality.
Laser Genesis is particularly suited to those looking for gradual improvement in skin quality without any downtime.
Laser Genesis creates a warming sensation as the laser passes across the skin, the intensity of this heat builds throughout the treatment but it is generally well tolerated.
Pigmentation • Redness • Uneven skin tone
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad spectrum of light to target specific structures within the skin, including melanin and haemoglobin.
This makes IPL particularly useful for addressing visible pigmentation, sun damage and vascular redness, helping to create a clearer and more even complexion.
IPL is primarily about improving the colour and clarity of the skin, rather than being a collagen-focused treatment like Laser Genesis.
IPL is usually felt as a series of quick flashes or snaps against the skin. The treated area may appear temporarily pink or flushed, while pigmentation can become darker before gradually fading or shedding.
IPL can be useful where there is widespread redness or multiple superficial vessels, but individual or more prominent vessels may be better suited to a targeted vascular treatment.
The technologies above can be used individually or combined depending on what your skin needs.
Laser Genesis Facial
A standalone Laser Genesis treatment designed to improve overall skin quality, texture, redness and early signs of ageing.
Your skin is prepared before Laser Genesis is administered across the chosen treatment area using a protocol tailored to your skin and concerns.
Ideal for: rosacea, diffuse redness, fine lines, uneven texture, enlarged pores, dullness and overall skin rejuvenation.
Laser Genesis + IPL
A combination treatment that brings together the collagen-stimulating benefits of Laser Genesis with the pigment and vascular-targeting benefits of IPL.
IPL works on the colour and clarity of the skin, while Laser Genesis works on skin quality, texture and collagen, making this a more comprehensive approach to overall rejuvenation.
Ideal for: pigmentation, sun damage, redness, uneven skin tone and overall skin rejuvenation.
Medical Microneedling + Laser Genesis + Dermalux
Our most comprehensive combination treatment, bringing together three technologies to address collagen, texture, firmness, redness and overall skin quality.
Medical Microneedling stimulates the skin's natural repair process and encourages collagen production.
Laser Genesis provides controlled thermal stimulation to support collagen remodelling while helping to improve redness and overall skin quality.
Dermalux LED uses clinically proven wavelengths of light to support the skin following treatment.
Together, these technologies provide a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation and remodelling.
Ideal for: fine lines, loss of firmness, uneven texture, redness, scarring and overall skin rejuvenation.

You don't need to work this out yourself.
During your consultation, we'll look at your skin, your concerns and what you're hoping to achieve before recommending the most appropriate treatment or combination.
Sometimes one technology is all you need. Sometimes combining treatments allows us to address several aspects of the skin at once.
Laser and IPL treatments aren't suitable for everyone. Your suitability will be assessed during your consultation, taking into account your skin, medical history, medications and any recent treatments.
These treatments may not be suitable if you:
Please tell us about any medication, medical conditions, recent procedures or changes to your skin during your consultation. Your treatment will only be carried out when it is considered appropriate and safe for you.
Laser Genesis: Results develop gradually as collagen remodelling takes place and can be maintained with ongoing skincare and maintenance treatments. Your skin will continue to age naturally, so regular maintenance may be recommended depending on your goals. Once an initial course is completed, you will need to maintain the results every 8-10 weeks.
IPL: Results vary depending on the concern being treated but typically last several months. Maintenance treatments can help prolong the benefits, particularly as new pigmentation or vascular changes can develop over time.
Laser Genesis: Yes. Laser Genesis can be combined with other treatments where appropriate. Our 2D Facial combines Laser Genesis with IPL, while our 3D Facial combines Laser Genesis with medical microneedling and Dermalux.
IPL: IPL pairs particularly well with Laser Genesis. Our 2D Facial combines both technologies to target pigmentation, redness, skin tone and overall skin quality.
Laser Genesis: Laser Genesis can be suitable for a broad range of skin tones, although treatment settings and suitability will always be assessed individually.
IPL: IPL is generally considered suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I–III. Skin tone, tanning, pigmentation and individual risk factors will be assessed before treatment to determine whether IPL is appropriate for you.
Laser Genesis: A course of 6 treatments is typically recommended, usually spaced around 2-4 weeks apart. The exact number will depend on your skin and what we're looking to achieve.
IPL: Typically, 3-5 treatments are recommended, spaced approximately 3-4 weeks apart, depending on the concern being treated and how your skin responds.
Laser Genesis: Laser Genesis is generally very well tolerated and feels like a warming sensation as the laser passes over the skin, the intensity of the heat increases but it is well tolerated.
IPL: Most clients experience a mild snapping or flicking sensation with each pulse of light. It can be uncomfortable.
Laser Genesis: Laser Genesis can be suitable for people looking to improve overall skin quality, including fine lines, texture, enlarged pores, rosacea, diffuse redness and early signs of ageing. Those looking for advanced treatment with no downtime.
IPL: IPL can be suitable for people looking to address pigmentation, sun damage, redness or uneven skin tone, provided they do not have melasma and their skin is suitable for IPL treatment.
Your consultation will determine which treatment, or combination of treatments, is most appropriate for your skin.
Laser Genesis: Laser Genesis involves little to no downtime. You may experience some temporary warmth or redness immediately afterwards, but most people can return to their normal activities straight away.
IPL: IPL can cause temporary redness and warmth as well as swelling. Pigmentation may appear darker after treatment before gradually fading or shedding. Your individual aftercare will be explained following treatment.
Laser Genesis: Makeup can generally be applied after treatment once the skin has settled, provided there is no irritation.
IPL: Makeup can generally be applied once the skin has settled, but we'll advise you on this according to your individual treatment and response.
