Chemical Peels

Excellent for rosacea
Dramatic results for acne
Drastic results on pigmentation

I choose to work with Alumier MD and FILLMED, both of which utilise medically graded ingredients. Working with multiple ranges allows me to offer a variety of peels that contain varying acids at different PH levels, each individually suited to treating different concerns.

This enables me to totally customise your program of treatments to target your specific skin concerns whether that is ageing, rosacea, pigmentation or acne. It also takes the pressure off you having to choose a peel, I will choose for you based on your skins needs and this can change at each appointment, it is completely bespoke to you.

Some of our peels are more likely to leave you with some mild shedding whereas with others you could have one days before your wedding, some are suitable as a lunch time treatment, others are recommended for when you’re less likely to need to be somewhere.

We will factor in downtime alongside your concerns when creating a treatment plan. I choose to work with light to medium depth peels known for their excellent results and safety profile. I believe in repeated treatments for progressive and gradual results to avoid side effects and downtime associated with deeper peels.

Chemical Peel Treatments are the next generation of clinical exfoliation, excellent for
treating a variety of concerns over time.

An ideal addition to Microneedling.

How does a chemical peel work?

A chemical peel is a treatment used to improve skin texture and tone. An acid is applied to the skin to lower the PH, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, including exfoliation and stimulating new cell growth. This process causes superficial layers of dead skin to peel off, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion.

Chemical peels work by deeply exfoliating the surface layers of the skin, forcing your body to quickly replenish it with new cells. When peels are performed regularly, the skin gets used to this process and begins to rejuvenate itself like younger skin.

Downtime:

  • Minimal, some pinkness and erythema which normally subsides within a few days.
  • Flakiness, dryness for up to 7 days.
  • Mineral make up can be worn after 24 hours.

This may be unsuitable if you are/have:

  • Prone to cold sores (I recommend contacting your Dr for a suppressant)
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Thyroid issues.
  • Using medication known to cause skin sensitivity such as Roaccutane.
  • Have been diagnosed with cancer in the past 12 months. A Dr's note will be required.
  • Have been abroad or are planning on going 2 weeks on either side of your peel.

Please mention at the time of booking if you have any health concerns that might affect your treatment.

All chemical peels include homecare for the week post treatment.
